Privacy Policy

We run a market built on discretion, so we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Who we are
Curious Adult Market is a trading name of Lynzmaz Trading Limited ("we", "us"), which runs curiousadultmarket.co.nz and receives ticket and stall fee payments.

What we collect and why

We don't collect more than we need. We never ask for sensitive details such as your private preferences, and we don't want them.
Photos at the market
We may take photos at our markets for promotion. We ask before photographing anyone up close, and faces only go on our website or socials with that person's permission. If you're in a photo you'd rather we didn't use, email us and we'll take it down.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We only share it with the services that help us run the market:
- Humanitix for ticketing
- MailerLite for our newsletter
- Resend to send vendor application emails
- Lovable and Supabase to host the website and store vendor applications
- Our bank to receive stall fee payments
Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, for example in Japan, Australia, the European Union or the United States. We choose providers with privacy protections comparable to New Zealand's.
We publish a vendor's business name, description, logo and photos only if they've agreed to it on their application. Vendor contact details are never published.
We may share information if the law requires it, or to prevent a serious threat to someone's safety.
Keeping it safe
Vendor applications and uploads are stored privately. Only our admin team can see them, behind a secure login. Licences and certificates are never published.
If we ever have a privacy breach likely to cause someone serious harm, we'll tell the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner as soon as we practically can.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe (there's a link in every email).
- Vendor details: up to 2 years after your last market with us, so we can invite you back.
- Declined applications: 12 months.
- Licences and certificates: 12 months after the market they were for.
- Contact messages: 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Email comein@curiousadultmarket.co.nz and we'll reply within 20 working days, usually much sooner. It's free.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will also go out in our newsletter.
