Vendor terms and stall fee policy

• Stalls are limited and curated. We choose vendors to give each market a good mix, and we don't have to accept every application or give reasons.
• Your stall is confirmed only once you've paid the $50 fee and we've emailed your stall number.
• Applying for one market doesn't guarantee a stall at future markets.

• Each stall is 3m x 2m. Stay within your space and keep the 1m walkways clear at all times.
• We allocate stall positions. Please don't swap without asking us.
• Trestle tables are provided if you asked for one on your application. Bring your own tablecloth, display and signage.
• Don't attach anything to the venue's walls, floors or fittings without our permission.
• Power isn't guaranteed. Ask us before the market if you need it.
• No open flames, including lit candles or incense.

• For the 21 November 2026 market: setup from 2:30pm, market 3:30pm to 7:30pm, pack-down finished by 8:15pm. Times for other markets are in your confirmation email.
• Be set up before doors open and stay until 7:30pm. Packing down early disrupts shoppers and other vendors.
• Leave your space as you found it and take all rubbish and unsold stock with you.

• Only sell the products and services described in your application. Tell us before the market if that changes.
• Everything you sell must be legal in New Zealand, safe, and accurately described. You're responsible for meeting the Fair Trading Act 1986, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and any product safety standards.
• Intimate and personal care products must be new, sealed or hygienically presented. Display samples must be clearly marked and not sold as new.
• Handle customer returns and refunds yourself. We don't process sales for vendors.
• You're responsible for your own tax and GST.

• If you offer a service that needs a licence or certificate (such as tattooing, piercing or massage), you must hold it, upload it with your application, and follow its conditions on the day. We can't confirm your stall without it.
• Food and drink vendors must meet the Food Act 2014 requirements for what they sell, and label ingredients and allergens.

• You and everyone on your stall must be 18+ and follow the Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrations must be fully clothed, appropriate and only on willing adults.
• Ask shoppers before they touch products, and before you photograph them.
• Only people named on your application wear your vendor tags. Tell us about changes before the market.

• If you agreed on your application, we may use your business name, description, logo and photos to promote the market, including on our website, socials and posters.
• Please share our posts and tag @curiousadultmarket. You can use our logo to promote your stall at our market, but not to suggest we endorse your business generally.

• You're responsible for your stock, equipment, cash and staff. We and the venue aren't liable for loss, theft or damage, except where caused by our negligence.
• You're responsible for any injury or damage caused by your products, services or setup, and you agree to cover us for claims arising from them.
• We recommend public liability insurance, especially if you offer a hands-on service.

• We may ask you to leave, with no refund, for breaking these terms or the Code of Conduct (see the Vendor Stall Fee and Cancellation Policy).
• If the market is cancelled or postponed, the Vendor Stall Fee and Cancellation Policy explains your options.
• We're not liable for your lost sales or costs such as stock, travel or printing.

We may update these terms for future markets. The version in place when you paid applies to that market.

• Pay within 7 days of your acceptance email, using the payment reference we give you.
• Your stall is held until then. If we haven't received payment, we may offer it to the next vendor on the waitlist.
• Your stall is confirmed once we email you your stall number.

Tell us by email as soon as you know. Refunds depend on how much notice you give:

For the 21 November 2026 market, the cut-off is Saturday 7 November.

Refunds go back to the account you paid from within 10 working days.

• Cancelled: you choose a full $50 refund or a credit for a future market.
• Postponed: your stall moves to the new date. If you can't make it, you get a full refund.
• Moved venue or significant change: if the change doesn't work for you, you get a full refund.

We're not responsible for other costs you've paid, such as stock, travel or printing.

We can ask a vendor to leave, with no refund, if they or their staff:

• breach our Code of Conduct or Vendor Terms
• sell products or services that weren't in their application, or that are unsafe or illegal
• offer a licensed service without the licence we asked for
• behave in a way that puts people's safety or comfort at risk
